Story
Brimsdown FC has a rich history rooted in the passion and dedication of its founders and supporters. Established in 2013 by Lee Okugbeni, then-manager of the Kentish Town under-18 team, the club emerged from a desire to provide a pathway for young players to progress into adult football. Initially admitted to Division Two of the Spartan South Midlands League for the 2013–14 season, Brimsdown FC faced challenges in their debut year, finishing second-from-bottom. However, the 2014–15 season marked a turning point as the club secured a fourth-place finish, paving the way for promotion to Division One.
In 2015–16, Brimsdown FC made their debut in the FA Vase, signaling their ambition to compete on a larger stage. Over the years, the club continued to grow and evolve, culminating in a significant development in 2019–20 when they were transferred to Division One South of the Eastern Counties League due to a groundshare arrangement with Tilbury.
In February 2018, Ahmet Toygun and Yilmaz Celik assumed ownership of the club, ushering in a new era marked by structural enhancements and strategic planning. By May 2020, Ahmet Toygun took sole ownership of Brimsdown FC and merged his successful North London Football Academy with the club, expanding its reach and resources. Today, Brimsdown FC boasts a comprehensive structure, comprising seven teams from U6 to the First Team.
Under Ahmet Toygun's leadership, Brimsdown FC has undergone a complete restructuring, including the establishment of committee members, a director, a head of academy, registration and administrative officers and senior contacts. With over 13 years of experience in managing the North London Football Academy, Ahmet Toygun brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.
Club Objective
Looking ahead, Brimsdown FC's objective is clear: to bring the club back to Enfield and establish a dedicated stadium, laying the foundation for a prosperous future. This ambitious goal reflects the club's commitment to growth, community engagement and the pursuit of excellence both on and off the field.
